How to build a self-care routine for glowing skin

How to build a self-care routine for glowing skin

Beauty is not the result of gruelling workouts or rigid restrictions. It is daily, mindful care for your body — a deep connection with yourself and the ability to listen to your own needs. Over the course of 21 days, Alis, together with our partners and experts, hosted an expansive wellness challenge. We learned to build healthy habits that not only prepare the body for summer, but also replenish energy from within.

We have gathered the most valuable insights and rituals worth keeping in your routine — forever.

Hydration and the Right Start to Your Day

The way we begin our day sets the tone for everything that follows. Our first and simplest habit was a glass of warm water with lemon, turmeric, or electrolytes. This morning ritual gently activates digestion and kickstarts metabolic processes. Water is the ultimate secret to supple skin and sustained energy, while adding electrolytes helps the body retain moisture more effectively at the cellular level.

Balanced Nutrition: Advice from Nutritionist Karyna Kharatin

Radiant skin always starts from within. During the challenge, nutritionist Karyna Kharatin shared the fundamental principles of a healthy diet. We learned how to build a plate that promotes clearer skin and supports overall well-being.

As Karyna explains, the skin is a mirror of what is happening inside the body — which is why reducing inflammation deserves particular attention. Incorporate Omega-3 fatty acids through salmon, mackerel, or herring. Fish, combined with fresh greens, helps not only reduce inflammation but also achieve a beautiful, even skin tone and a natural glow effect. And don't forget eggs, berries, and whole grains — these foods create the ideal conditions for the body to function at its best, resulting in hydrated, luminous skin.

One essential reminder: if dietary changes cause stress, they simply will not work. The approach is straightforward — not restriction, but gentle substitution.

Regular Health Check-Ups

To maintain hormonal balance and optimal micronutrient levels, our partners at the LEO BEAUTY CLUB network emphasise the importance of timely health screenings. Regular visits to an endocrinologist are more than just preventive care — hormonal balance directly affects your weight, mood, and energy levels.

Joyful Movement: A Special Exercise Routine by Dasha Stavnycha

Physical activity should never feel like punishment. Professional track and field athlete, coach, and master of sport Dasha Stavnycha underscores one key principle: the real secret is finding a form of movement that brings you joy — and performing it with proper technique.

The foundation of grace is a regal posture. Dasha recommends choosing exercises that focus on elongation and muscle tone, while avoiding unnecessary stress on the joints. For instance, instead of traditional squats, a far more effective option is lateral leg raises from a half-squat position. This allows for deep, isolated engagement of the muscles while maintaining correct spinal alignment.

The Synergy of Care

Sport and at-home rituals provide an excellent foundation — but for maximum, accelerated results, combining them with professional treatments is the ideal approach. During the challenge, our partners — Liks Rivne clinic and MV AESTHETIC — revealed the remarkable potential of hardware massage therapies. These treatments work deeply through tissue layers, stimulate lymphatic flow, and effectively combat congestion and stagnation.

However, there is one golden rule: following intensive hardware procedures, the skin is especially in need of hydrolipid barrier restoration. This is precisely where the right at-home care routine becomes essential.

The Alis Ritual for Lasting Results:

  • Dry brushing: Incorporate dry brush massage 2–3 times per week before showering to sustain the lymphatic drainage effect.
  • Cleansing: Use a gentle shower gel that does not strip the skin.
  • Renewal: Exfoliate 1–2 times per week to refresh the skin and promote smoothness.
  • Deep hydration: Apply Alis nourishing cream-butter immediately after showering or massage. It locks moisture into the cells, forms a protective barrier, soothes the skin after hardware treatments, and leaves it with an incredibly velvety finish.

The Challenge's Defining Takeaway

At its heart, this challenge was about self-love — rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Oubaitori (桜梅桃李). Learn to embrace your body and resist the urge to compare yourself to others. Allow yourself to bloom naturally, mindfully, and beautifully — at your own pace
